About Koversada

Koversada naturist resort is probably the most famous in Europe, it is one of the biggest and it was founded in 1961. Many naturists from all over the world come every year to this resort in search for nature paradise, warm climate and crystal clear and clean sea. In 1972 hosted Naturist World Congress. Within the center there are numerous restaurants and snack bars, a pizzeria, two mini-markets and various shops, post office, ambulance and gas filling station, laundry and other amenities.

The beach is, as everywhere in Istria, rocky with sunbathing platforms and sheltered pebble bays. Opposite the island there is a large man-made sandy area, which is suitable for morning exercises, playing of boccia or beach volley. Sports and entertainment programmes guided by good-humoured local staff take place here, too. Koversada beach was awarded the Blue Flag – an international certificate for high bathing water quality and environmental standards.

Koversada quickly became a hit amoung naturists not least because of the mild climate, clear sea and pine forests. Now it can accommodate up to 8.000 guests on an area of 120 hectares.
